We came as a family of 12 with 3 young children and everything was provided for them, films etc. Dale and Rod were extremely helpful and due to the volcanic explosion we were stuck in Gran Canaria. Lisa was on the phone making sure we were ok and being catered for and even offered us a prolonged stay at the villa but unfortunately we had to move to an allocated hotel. The villa was beautifully clean. Swimming pool and jacuzzi fabulous, and a big screen TV with sky. It was wonderful. Highly recommend this villa and the great staff. Everything we need was there and much more, from all the day to day practical things, but also a vast array of added extras which really made our stay comfortable and easy, something which takes some doing when you have 14 month old twins ! We had great expectations for Villa Cosmos, and we were not disappointed. You met us with a worm welcome, cold rosè wine, beer, your fridge was filled up, and the jacuzzi was hot and inviting. So inviting that we spent most of the nights there, with a lot of fun. We were six couples, and Villa Cosmos was perfect! The service was excellent! You took us to the best supermarket in town, to the butcher and even to THE HOOTERS! We had a fantastic week and we will definitely recommend the villa. Zia, Lucy, Tia and Baby Mya, Dave, Clare, Charlie and Millie, Matt, Emma, ------------------------------------------------------ Having stayed at Villa Cosmos for 10 days I felt I owed it to the villa and to the owners to get my positive opinions voiced. The villa itself is great - the sort of place you could spend the holiday without leaving the gates - covering all the important bases - pool, jacuzzi, air con, plenty of rooms with amazing furnishings, fully-fitted kitchen, laundry room. While flat screen tv's, games consoles, a laptop, mobile phone, games room and cinema provide the icing on the cake. The owners, Richie & Lisa, are likewise amazing. Whether it's advice about where to go, helping arrange boat trips, shopping trips, or even getting the tips of where to enjoy local happy hour excitement (you may see them there!), they really go that extra mile. They made themselves accessible 24 hours and set a new level in customer care. My only concern is that if everyone who stays feels the same way that myself and my friends do about both the owners and the villa then they're won't be any availability for future visits! Graham Mitchell ------------------------------------------------------ Hi Ritchie & Lisa, ------------------------------------------------------ The villa provided everything we could have wished for, from the toddlers to the grandmas. Richie and Lisa went the extra mile especially when one member of the party was unwell. There concern was exemplary and reassuring. This was the best 60th birthday holiday i could have wished for, and no one wants to leave. A perfect holiday we will be returning. ------------------------------------------------------ The family is very satisfied with the vacation, thanks a million for that. ------------------------------------------------------ We, a group of 15 persons (three related families with grandparents), spent a wonderful, relaxing week in Joe's villa. For all members of our families, there was a wide range of different leisure activities, from sunbathing and bathing in the (whirl)pool, Wii, billiards and table-top soccer through to DVD presentations in cinema format. If you want to see something of Gran Canaria, you will hardly be able to use the many different options featured by the villa. We very much appreciated not only the quiet, yet central location but also the optimal room layout with the beautiful open-plan living area with a view of the garden / pool. The service provided by Lisa and Richie was also excellent, since, prior to our arrival, they had already stocked up the refrigerator with different drinks and then immediately offered to show us the way to the nearest low-cost supermarket. Right from the very beginning, they gave us the feeling of wanting to make our stay as pleasant as possible. A number of things which we had requested beforehand (two pushchairs, a high-chair for little Bruno and a chessboard with figures) were already waiting for us. It was hardly of any significance that our father and brother were not able to watch German television (German football league). We would all very much like to return again. Für alle Familienmitglieder gab es vielfältige Freizeitmöglichkeiten: Von Sonnenbaden und Baden im (Whirl-)Pool über Wii-, Billard- und Kickerspielen bis hin zu DVD- Vorführungen im Kino-Format. Wenn man von Gran Canaria noch etwas sehen will, wird man die vielseitigen Möglichkeiten, die das Anwesen bietet, kaum nutzen können. Sehr gefallen hat uns nicht nur die ruhige und dennoch zentrale Lage, sondern auch die gelungene Zimmeraufteilung mit dem wunderschönen offenen Wohnbereich mit Blick auf den Garten/Pool. Apart from providing the perfect backdrop for our shoot you made the whole trip a success. You know that we loved the villa and although we were working long hours the leisure snatched between shooting meant that all the facilities were used and enjoyed by the team. As a business base the villa was excellent as we all had our personal space while also having great areas when all together. As I was cooking for the crew I must mention the great kitchen. What a fabulously well equipped space. I'm not easily pleased on this and I got to know it intimately! But more than any of this your help during our crisis was amazing. You were so special and and gave us unbelievable support. I don't know what we would have done without you. So, I'll be back for a holiday as I intend to enjoy all the special bits of the villa that work denied me! You'd better get the welcome pack ready now! We appreciate problems occur out of normal control and we were happy everything was done to resolve them. We felt at home and really looked after. The issues we encountered did not spoil our holiday at all. We were made to feel very welcome and the extras provided were appreciated. Rob Brandon. ------------------------------------------------------ We have planned this fantastic holiday many many month before and it was the first time we spend Christmas holidays and New Year in a warm place like Gran Canaria instead of the cold Switzerland. We are used to high quality services here in Switzerland and I must admit that Lisa and Richie did their job great and we had the feeling to be on paradise! We forgot all our work at home and honestly we had a hard time to go back to Switzerland...! If you feel tired and want to relax 100%, then Joes Villa is the place to go - it is the best medicine! Mark Cooper ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I awoke this morning in Edinburgh. It is blowing a gale and pouring rain and I wept. I returned from the most fantastic holiday ever in Villa Cosmos in Gran Canaria yesterday. At 63 I have had a few holidays to compare with and Villa Cosmos has everything a family or group could wish for it is the best equipped holiday accommodation I have ever experienced catering from baby to granny. I tried to think of something missing and could not think of anything, Richie and Lisa go an extra ten Terri Semple ------------------------------------------------------------------------ For a family with 2 young children, finding a suitable holiday location can be difficult. As a mother my main concerns include: will it be safe, will the pool be too deep, will it be too busy, what if the children go out of my sight? Will there be adequate facilities and entertainment for them? What about air conditioning? ........it goes on and on....... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ We all had a fabulous holiday and we plan to come back ! every item we required was here within the villa and what a nice change as there is always some thing you require when on holiday. Our son enjoyed all the toys and dvds. (we are still trying to erase nemo from our minds) Andrew Barclay ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If its Luxury, Quality and Family Friendly that you are looking for then Cosmos has it all. With the exception of needing to leave to buy shopping, we didn't venture out once and we didn't need to, we had everything we needed from entertainment (with the fabulous games room, which the blokes will just fall in love with) to the roof top solarium (which us women fell in love with) so as far as holiday accommodation goes, you couldn't ask for nor do I suspect get more. We loved it! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Joes Villas. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I thought Gran Canaria was fantastic. Cosmos was great; it had a Jacuzzi and a pool with a water jet. It also had all the latest game consoles. It also had a pool table, a football table, a ping-pong table, and a trampoline. I was staying there with a friend and we never short of anything to do. We also did a few activities such as scuba diving, go karting and golf. I would love to go again. The scuba diving teachers got me in the sea on my first ever try dive, and I got to feed a banana to a school of fish. On our trip in Gran Canaria we visited the beach. The beaches are beautiful on the coast very picturesque like something off bay watch. We bought some boogie boards in the market shops in front of the beach and went boogie boarding, it was really fun. We went out for dinner every night around the local area and the food was scrumptious they had my favourite. Pizza. But the food wasn’t the best thing about my stay it was that the fridge was packed full of sweets and soft drinks yum, yum. There was also a lot of DVD's at the villa on the nights after dinner my friend and I would watch one on the big HD TV. I loved Gran Canaria and I would defiantly go again and I recommend the villa and the area to everyone. Great selection of toys and with the pool, trampoline, games room and video games the children were constantly entertained leaving us to relax and enjoy this beautiful villa.
